2. No Data Collection by the App

DashcamSorter is a purely client-side web application. All processing (video playback, GPS analysis, audio analysis, file sorting) takes place exclusively locally in your browser.

• No files are uploaded
• No personal data is transmitted to any server by the app
• There are no user accounts, no registration, no login

3. Cookies and Consent

This website does not set any technically necessary cookies. Analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics) are only set after your explicit consent via the cookie banner. You can revoke your consent at any time by reopening the cookie banner via the link in the footer. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG.

4. Analytics

OpenPanel (self-hosted)

I use OpenPanel, a self-hosted web analytics tool. Data is processed exclusively on my own server and is not shared with third parties. No cookies are set. IP addresses are anonymized. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in statistical analysis).

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics sets cookies (including _ga, duration: 2 years) that enable analysis of your usage behavior. Cookies are only set after your consent via the cookie banner.

IP addresses are anonymized (IP anonymization is enabled by default in GA4). Data may be transferred to the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, providing an adequate basis for data transfer. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

You can revoke your consent at any time via the cookie banner. More information: Google Privacy Policy.

5. Local Storage

The app uses only local browser storage:

• localStorage - for settings (theme, language, category assignments, cookie consent)
• IndexedDB - for storing the last opened folder handle for session restore

This data never leaves your browser and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings.

6. Hosting

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (server location: Falkenstein/Vogtland). The host automatically collects information in server log files such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and time of access. This data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted after 30 days. A data processing agreement exists with Hetzner. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation).

7. External Resources

The website loads the following resources:

• Fonts - Outfit and DM Mono are served locally from my own server. No connection to Google Fonts is made.
• Leaflet - JavaScript library for the map view, served locally.
• CartoCDN - Map tiles for GPS display in the app. When loading the map, your IP address is transmitted to CARTO servers (New York, USA). This only occurs when you actively use the map view. CARTO is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in map display).

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21). Contact: info@develojo.com
